PURPOSE: To enable a refrigerator to operate smoothly and efficiently by connecting 2 compressor chambers, located symmetrically at 180°, to 2 displacer chambers, situated perpendicularly to the compressor chambers, in such a manner that each of these is linked functionally.
CONSTITUTION: By rotation of an input shaft 8 in the direction B, a rod 36 and a rod 37 are shifted in the directions of C and D, respectively, by a tilted plate 18, and by ascending of the rod 36, gaseous body is isothermally compressed into a compressor chamber 45, and the gaseous body rising in temperature in the compressor chamber 45 enters a heat exchanging chamber 44 to be deprived of its heat and goes into No. 1 cold accumulator 55 to be cooled off, and then, it enters No. 1 displacer chamber 50. No. 2 cold accumulator 74 and No. 2 displacer chamber 73, and in such an order. On the other hand, by shifting of the rod 37, pistons 29 and 72 of No. 1 and No. 2 displacers go down, gaseous bodies in No. 1 and No. 2 displacer chambers 50 and 37 are expanded by being heated with outside heat, cold gaseous bodies are accumulated in No. 1 and No. 2 cold accumulators 55 and 74, and then, a regrigerating output is taken out from a cold head 68.
