Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject device wherein when a secondary turbine is overshot, the speed increase of a primary turbine is made possible, whereby even when the synchronous operation of both turbines fails, the control to synchronize again the speeds of both turbines in an extremely short period of time is made possible. CONSTITUTION: When the synchronous operation fails at a point A and a turbine S is overshot, a three-way change-over valve 16 is switched, whereby main steam which has passed through a speed matching valve 15 passes through the three-way change-over valve 16 and supplied to a low-pressure turbine 2 by way of a conduit pipe 17. A turbine P is driven by steam supplied from the built-in valve of a main steam check valve 7 or a steam regulating valve 8 and the speed matching valve 15, and the turbine P is again accelerated. For this reason, the speeds of both turbines intercross at a point A, and thereafter again intercross at a point B and the synchronous operation can be carried out again.
